The CBD and South East Light Rail will terminate out the front of the Juniors on Anzac Parade. This Kingsford Terminus will have its own dedicated light rail stop and interchange terminus. Because of the proximity of this terminus to the Kingsford town centre it means passengers will arrive from many different locations and by various means. As a result there will be wide, well shaded pedestrian areas, comfortable seating, bike parking and the terminus will integrate with local and express bus services to meet the growing transport needs of the south east.

Light Rail Route

The CBD and South East Light Rail alignment is 12km long and contains 19 light rail stops (see map below). The route starts in the CBD, branches into two at Moore Park and terminates at both Randwick and Kingsford. The final stop in Kingsford is located out the front of the Juniors on Anzac Parade. Transport for NSW have produced an interactive map outlining up to the minute information for each construction zone.

Get a real life look at the route of the CBD and South East Light Rail with this video produced by Transport for NSW. The light rail will link Circular Quay and Central, the Moore Park sporting and entertainment precinct including the Sydney Cricket Ground and Sydney Football Stadium, Randwick Racecourse, the University of NSW, Prince of Wales Hospital at Randwick and the Juniors in Kingsford.

Light Rail Benefits

An extra million people are expected to live and work in Sydney over the next 10 years. The CBD and South East Light Rail addresses the needs of the community now and into the future. The light rail will bring many benefits to the local community when it becomes operational in 2019 and integrates with local and express bus services to meet the growing transport needs of the south east. Light rail will provide efficient, turn-up-and-go public transport with services every four minutes between the CBD and Moore Park and every eight minutes to and from Randwick and Kingsford between 7am and 7pm.
